Ilona Levine currently serves as General Counsel at the Internet Society and the Internet Society Foundation, leading global legal, regulatory, and governance functions for one of the world’s foremost organizations dedicated to internet accessibility and trust.

In this role, she has:

Established comprehensive global compliance and governance frameworks
Supported international expansion into Singapore, Switzerland, Belgium, and Canada
Led enterprise risk management
Matured board governance

Her experience spans crisis management, cybersecurity incident response, procurement and vendor strategy.

Previously, Ilona served as General Counsel at China Telecom Americas, where she built and led legal and corporate communications teams, negotiated major commercial agreements, and supported international expansion initiatives.

She also held roles as Senior Counsel and Data Protection Officer at OVH US LLC, where she led GDPR compliance and cybersecurity programs.
